Namaste and Welcome to Golden Ganesh Yoga!

_We start practicing yoga for various reason. All the reasons are equally valid and none of them is better than the other. However let us not forget that:
a. Yoga is the stilling of the changing states of the mind.
b. The changing states of the mind are stilled by practice and dispassion.
I will try my best to provide you with instructions for your practice. But the practice is YOURS.

So, set your intention before you even begin, accept wherever your body is in your practice today and take a class.
There is no need "to get in shape" before you come to yoga. Nevertheless, as with any physical activity, if you have health concerns of injuries, it is wise to consult with your medical professional (which I am not).
Below is a list and short description of classes I teach.

Hatha Yoga. This 90 minute class will lead one  through a series of yoga postures, starting and ending with a breathing exercises.  This practice will help you to reduce stress, improve flexibility and balance, additionally the practice serves as a preparatory stage of physical purification for higher meditation or Yoga.

Core Strength The practice is based on the Pain Free Yoga methodology developed by SunStone Yoga and comes in 60 or 45 minute power and restorative class. Utilizing isometric and active stretching techniques combined with core strengthening movements, this class is a must for athletes and yoga students alike.

Vinyasa (Flow) Sequential movement that interlinks postures to form a continuous flow. It creates a movement meditation that reveals all forms as being impermanent and for this reason are not held on to.

Fluid Motion combines the techniques of stretching, flexibility and respiration of hatha-yoga, the ground movements of jiu-jitsu, and the natural movements of the human body.

Dmitri is RYT500 (500 hours registered yoga teacher) with yoga alliance and IJF certified judo instructor.
Dmitri studied and certified in Sunstone Yoga Academy in the lineage of Bihar Yoga Bharati.
